Por isso, a massa espec\u00edfica consiste na propriedade f\u00edsica mais importante na ci\u00eancia dos materiais.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id='introdu\u00e7\u00e3o'  id=\"boomdevs_1\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Introdu\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">O custo dos materiais depende da massa e, consequentemente, projetos de engenharia procuram minimizar a massa de materiais utilizada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Contudo, peso e massa s\u00e3o grandezas extensivas que dependem do material e das dimens\u00f5es do objeto em quest\u00e3o. Portanto, a arruma\u00e7\u00e3o dos \u00e1tomos, mol\u00e9culas, e subst\u00e2ncias afeta diretamente a densidade dos materiais e, consequentemente, varia com outros par\u00e2metros f\u00edsicos, tais como a temperatura e press\u00e3o.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id='massa-espec\u00edfica-de-gases'  id=\"boomdevs_4\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Massa espec\u00edfica de gases<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">A massa espec\u00edfica <\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">dos gases depende da temperatura e press\u00e3o uma vez que suas mol\u00e9culas ou \u00e1tomos se movimentam livremente inexistindo c\u00e9lulas unit\u00e1rias.
